About Structural Light 3D Scanners
Structured Light 3D Scanners are non-contact optical measurement systems that project a controlled pattern of light onto an object's surface and use one or more cameras to calculate its three-dimensional geometry. These scanners are known for capturing dense, highly detailed 3D data quickly, making them particularly suitable for complex geometries, fine surface features, precision components, and applications where large amounts of surface data must be acquired efficiently. Available in desktop, portable, handheld, and industrial configurations, structured-light scanners are widely used for reverse engineering, dimensional inspection, quality control, product development, tooling, additive manufacturing, medical applications, research, and digital preservation.
